SKD was founded by Arianna Gray and Darrel Christenson, both of whom have backgrounds in the wedding industry. Arianna is an independent wedding officiant bringing years of experience to the table, and Darrel is a semi-pro photographer as well as a professional software engineer bringing decades of experience to the design of the software.

Back in 2007, we noticed two things: 1) that the bulk of the brides in the world had no idea that there was actually any planning software available, and 2) what was available, while mostly competent, was either too limited or too pricey – so we set out to develop the proverbial better mouse trap.

Now it's the middle of 2010 and we're releasing our initial versions for the home user; Standard and Deluxe, combining input not only from our own personal experiences, but also from brides, wedding planners, and busy moms shuttling their kids from event to event. 2011 should see the release of our versions for business people; Professional and Office.

We believe we have accomplished our goal of building the better mouse trap, or in our case, the better event planning software. In addition, for the same price as most of the others, we’re offering what we feel is a bigger, better and more comprehensive event planning software for your wedding, and for all of the other important events in your life.

We are headquartered in Allen, Texas which is a bit north of Dallas.
